OnTop Internet Marketing was founded in 2009 by Monique and Derek Alvarez in response to what they perceived as the growing need for small business owners to develop an Internet presence to generate more leads and sales (and yes, even word of mouth!)

You see, something really bugged the couple about what was going on in their town… “Mom and Pops” were paying out the wazoo for overpriced, glorified business cards that broke-ass web designers were calling websites!

Don’t get us wrong, they can be awfully pretty, these websites… but if you don’t know how to get some eyes to your site… you’re sunk, my friend!

Then there’s the money-hole called “Yellow Pages” that some business owners are still pouring their hard-earned cash into, despite the fact that most people now use them as a door-stop… if they use them at all.

So what lead up to this, you ask? What’s the back-story? Where did Monique and Derek learn this Internet Marketing stuff?

Well, it all started back in late 2008…

Monique was becoming increasingly fed up with her corporate job as a manager and Derek was starting to feel the effects (and stress) of the poor economy at the landscape design/build firm he worked for.

So they quit their jobs and started a business!

The only kind of business they could realistically start at the time was a (gasp!) Network Marketing business.

You know how those go… Hotel meetings, bugging friends and family, yadda yadda…

Except, Monique and Derek quickly figured out this wasn’t for them… They didn’t want to randomly ask strangers to buy their product(s) or join their biz-op. Why? Because it’s highly inefficient (and let me tell ya’, Derek’s one efficient S.O.B.)

So they turned to the Internet and learned as much as they could about Direct Sales principles and Internet Marketing…

Thousands of dollars spent (and made) and countless hours studying and implementing later… they learned how to only offer their products and services to people who are already interested in buying what they have! (There’s a bunch of human psychology and technical mumbo-jumbo involved as well, but we’re not going to bore you with the details).

Back to the subject at hand…

Monique is now a Social Media Extraordinaire, the woman can’t sneeze on Facebook without making a sale!

And Derek has now figured out how to get websites ranked at the top of Google… Not to mention the fact that he can get heaps of leads and sales through Google and Facebook Pay-per-click advertising.

That’s right, this power couple cut their teeth in the highly competitive market of Network Marketing, so helping local businesses is like an NFL player playing High School ball… Game over!

And that’s the way it’s been since OnTop Internet Marketing was founded, the business owners lucky enough to work with the marketing pros have had astounding results…

So much so that the business has taken off and Derek and Monique have had to add some team members to help take care of the workload!
