Our hearts and prayers go out to everyone affected by the tragic events that took place in Tucson…

I lived in Tucson for the last five years.  Derek was there twelve years and graduated from the University of Arizona.  We loved every minute in that beautiful city and it is unthinkable that Saturday’s shootings could have ever happened.

Six people lost their lives that day; U.S. District Judge John McCarthy Roll, Gabriel Zimmerman, Christina Taylor Green, Dorwin Stoddard, Dorothy Morris and Phyllis Scheck.  Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and thirteen others were wounded.

As we have recently moved from Tucson we feel a deep connection to the city and all those affected.  Over the last few days I’ve been thinking about what we can do to honor and support Tucson in this time of need. We see the need to unite and stand together… [Read more...]
