BEFORE You Hire an Internet Marketing Company, Ask This Question… Do They Practice What They Preach?
By this I mean, do they actually use Internet Marketing to get business?
You’d be surprised by how few do!
And some will even lie right to your face about how good they are…
Ever have someone tell you they get 10,000 “hits” to their website a day?
Monique and I run into people who tell us stuff like this all the time!
Luckily, there’s a pretty simple way to see if they’re telling the truth or not…
Just go to Alexa.com and type their website url into the search bar…
This will show you the website’s world and U.S. traffic ranks…
You can even compare different websites to each other to see how they measure up…
*Hint: If someone tells you they get 10,000 hits a day and their Alexa rank is in the millions… they haven’t been sipping the truth serum ;-)
And here’s the thing, you don’t need thousands of website visitors every day to get more sales for your business…
As of now (March 28th, 2011), Monique and I have an Alexa rank of 246,929 in the world and 48,332 in the U.S.
Basically, this means we’re getting about 2,700 visitors to our website a month… And you know what? This is plenty of traffic to get more business!
Why do I say this?
Because we get about 2-6 emails or calls per week looking to hire us for our services… That’s right, we actually use the Internet to get more business! And we can help you do the same… give us a call at 520-777-9553.

Hey Derek! (Long time no chat btw)
I have to laugh, well, it’s probably not funny because some people get taken for a serious ride! I’ve seen blogs with a third of our traffic claim they are getting 100,000 plus visitors and pageviews and charge big bucks for advertising.
Maybe those were accurate stats 4 years ago or it’s just a blatant lie.
If there’s no up to date proof, don’t believe whats simply written in word. And Alexa is the easiest way to determine that for sure.
George, it’s nice to see you ’round these parts!
I like Alexa because it’s a quick way to get a ballpark idea of a website’s traffic… So you can get a feel for if the website is legit or not, and go from there.
I am curious about Google Analytics. Is it free or downloadable or we need license for this?
It’s free, you can sign up for it here: http://www.google.com/analytics/
Thanks a lot Derek, I’m going there now.
You’re welcome, Ellen :)
