So here’s a simple checklist that I want you to go over before we worry about Internet Marketing Strategies

  1. Who’s your target market?
  2. What problem do they need solving?
  3. How can your product or service help them?
  4. Where do they “hang out” on the web?
  5. Who is your competition online?
  6. What’s their Internet Marketing Strategy?
  7. What do you like about their website?
  8. What could you improve upon that they aren’t doing well?
  9. Do some Google searches — what keywords have a lot of competition?
  10. What keywords could you compete for?

Now for some Internet Marketing Strategies…

  • Choose a good domain name for your website (think keywords!)
  • Make sure you have a plan to get people on your email list from your website.
  • Add a blog and structure it correctly with good keyword-focused categories and tags (for SEO and Google Quality Score)
  • Make sure you have some good landing pages for your Pay-per-click campaigns (does the landing page relate to the keyword?)
  • Create a Facebook Page and add fans for “social proof” (be consistent with it and you’ll show up in their daily feeds)
  • Send consistent emails to your list with coupons, useful info, and things they’ll care about (don’t abuse your list with junk mail!)
  • Make sure everything you put on the web is helpful to your target market and you will be successful.

This was of course a simple list of Internet Marketing Strategies, but it’ll give you a great start and a solid foundation.
